Jean Menard

Jean has been an aviation enthusiast ever since his first airshow at the Ottawa Rockcliffe Air Force Base back in the 60’s and seeing formations of T-33s and CF-100’s in the skies.  Although not a pilot, he has flown in a helicopter through snowstorms in James Bay, the Amazon in a Lear 35, and across the Atlantic on an Air France Concorde at Mach 2 and 60,000 feet.  He’s worked on fixed and rotary wing aircraft on United National (ONCHO) programs in Africa, sold Bae-125 and Canadair Challenger interiors worldwide and now specializes in sales of avionics and communications solutions across Canada for Honeywell Aerospace.

He has served on a credit union board earlier in his career and served as Treasurer of the Canadian Business Aviation Association from 2008 until 2013.  He has been Treasurer for Canada’s Hall of Fame since September 2021 and enjoys everything related to the work done by Canada’s Aviation Hall of Fame to recognize individuals and entities who have moved the Canadian aviation needle forward.
